Some of the most frequently asked questions are:

Q: Will you for a start up ?
A: I have a lot of experience working with start ups. I can work within their structure and flow. In many cases I can bring knowledge to a start up that will help them avoid suffering and expenses that many start ups experience

Q: Will you accept a full time job.
A: I currently am not looking for full time employment.
Q: Will you accept stock.
A: Yes. I have accepted stock and stock options on contracts as part of compensation.
Q: Are you willing to relocate.
A: No relocation is not in my plans. I have made an investment in my community and my working environment. Moving does not interest me at this time.

Q: What are your rates.
A: That depends on the length of the project and the level of effort. I do run at the market rates for California. But since I am a 1099 contractor my rates are cheaper then the full cost of an employee making 50% of my rate. Normally you can expect to find me between $150 per hour and $250 per hour with the norm being $200 per hour. Contracting me on a 1099 at $200.00 per hour would be about the same cost to you as hiring someone at $50.00 per hour. The main difference is that you don't pay me for idle time.. Unless I am idling at your offices. When the project is over, I leave. With an employee you have to either fire him or find something for him to do. If you need assistance after I leave, I can help you.. If you need assistance from an employee after he leaves!! what do you do!

Yes!! My rates have gone up since the "dot com" burst.. I have been very Busy :)

Q: Will you work on-site
A: I avoid working on-site as much as possible. I am happy to visit customers on-site who are in the "101 tech corridor." But I have made major investments in my office including a microwave T1 line. I have purchased all my own software and have my environment set up in a way which makes me productive.
