One of the Java products that is publicly visible is a fully functional tax advantage planning applet. This applet connects back to a webserver via a standard HTTP port and downloads the databases to allow for the evaluation of tax plans for various mortgages. It was written in Java 1.00 and for this demonstration it was recompiled into Java 1.02. This is not a full duplex client server application. It only down loads data to allow for computations. It is an example of what other clients have wanted produced. This is a simple but useful tool. Visit to see it. The applet will pop up in a separate window and down load the required files before running. This applet was never optimized for speed and was written to run on MSIE 3.0.
Other aspects of this assignment included advising on methodologies for conversion of this companies business partners software to an Internet ready form. Some of the options explored were a notes to web interface. With or without the domino server.
